Betsy Carney will show you how to make a holiday decoration.

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: “How Sweet it Is”

Come and learn all about the process of maple syrup harvest from tree selection to tapping and collecting to cooking.  Todd and Jackie Walter will share the tradition that has been passed down from his
father and great grandfather. There will be artifacts, pictures, and other items on display.

Even if you’re not planning to tap for maple syrup, it will be a very interesting topic to learn about.

On Display

Frankoma Pottery collected by Jerry & Loraine Vettel

Frankoma is an American made pottery company located in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The Company is widely known for its sculptures, dinnerware, figurines, etc. Also on display will be an extensive button collection (clothing buttons). These buttons were collected and cataloged by Doris Glamm’s grandmother.

Please Note

The date, November 10th, was chosen to coincide with other events in Pine Island. Please plan to stop at the History Center before or after you attend the Annual Holiday Expo. You will also want to put Betty Sue’s Better Brew on your calendar as they will be giving out a special treat for those that stop in that day.
